Terms of service

Last Updated: June 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Legacy Land & Lines LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). By requesting a quote, booking services, or allowing us to perform work on your property, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide forestry mulching, land clearing, site preparation, and related contracting services in Middle Tennessee.

All services are performed in a workmanlike manner according to industry standards. Final results depend on site conditions, weather, and customer cooperation.

2. Customer Responsibilities & Site Access

Access & Authorization
You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the property or have full legal authority from the property owner to authorize the work. Access to the site, proof of ownership, or a signed document of approval by the property owner is required prior to any work being performed. Failure to provide access or proper authorization may result in cancellation of the job and forfeiture of any deposit.

Site Readiness
You are responsible for preparing the work site prior to our arrival. This includes:

  • Removing or clearly marking all hazardous obstructions such as metal wiring, fencing, hidden stakes, scrap metal, rubber tires, large debris, or any other materials that could damage our equipment.

  • Ensuring safe and clear access for our machinery and crew.

  • Disclosing any underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation lines, wells, or other hidden hazards.

Equipment Damage Caused by Site Conditions
If our equipment is damaged due to undisclosed or uncleared obstructions (including but not limited to metal wiring, fencing, scrap metal, tires, or other debris), you agree to be fully responsible for the cost of all repairs or replacement of the damaged equipment, plus any resulting downtime and lost productivity.

Option to Avoid Risk
To minimize this risk, we strongly recommend and offer professional site preparation and debris/obstruction clearing services at an additional cost. If you choose to have us perform this preparation work, our team will safely clear the area before beginning the primary service.

Failure to properly prepare the site or to disclose known hazards may also result in additional labor charges, rescheduling, or cancellation of the job without refund of any deposit.

3. Scheduling & Downtime

  • Customer-Caused Delays: If we arrive on site and cannot perform the work due to lack of access, site unreadiness, or other customer-related issues, you will be charged a minimum trip charge plus any lost time.

  • Weather Events: Outdoor services are subject to weather conditions. We are not responsible for delays caused by rain, high winds, extreme temperatures, or other weather events. Rescheduling will be coordinated at no extra charge when conditions allow.

4. Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required for larger or scheduled projects.

  • Full payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept bank transfers, credit cards, and checks.

  • Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.

5. Limited Warranty & Maintenance

We warrant that our workmanship will be free from defects for 30 days after completion. This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by weather, animals, third parties, or normal wear and tear.

  • Issues resulting from site conditions or customer modifications.

Natural Regrowth Disclaimer
Vegetation management is an ongoing process. We do not guarantee that cleared or mulched areas will remain permanently free of new growth. Trees, brush, and vegetation will naturally regrow over time. Ongoing site maintenance is the Customer’s responsibility and is not included in our one-time service unless a separate maintenance agreement is executed.

We offer recurring maintenance plans (subscription service) for customers who wish to keep their property regularly maintained. Please contact us for details on scheduled return visits for mulching, brush control, and vegetation management.

Ground Disturbance and Site Conditions

The use of heavy equipment for forestry mulching and land clearing will inherently disturb the ground. This may include, but is not limited to, the creation of ruts, tire tracks, soil compaction, and disturbance to existing grass or vegetation. While Legacy Land & Lines LLC will make reasonable efforts to minimize damage to lawns and landscaped areas, some ground disturbance is unavoidable when operating heavy machinery on a property.

Legacy Land & Lines LLC does not guarantee that lawns, grass, or landscaped areas will remain undamaged. The Company will not be responsible for replacing sod, repairing lawns, or restoring landscaped areas to their original condition. As standard remediation, the Company will rake disturbed areas and apply seed where appropriate. Any additional lawn repair, sod installation, or landscaping restoration beyond basic raking and seeding will be the sole responsibility of the Customer.

By engaging Legacy Land & Lines LLC for services, the Customer acknowledges and accepts that ground disturbance is an expected result of the work performed.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your failure to disclose site hazards, pre-existing conditions, or your negligence.

8. Independent Contractor

We are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Coffee County, Tennessee.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
